Creating the magazine

Before creating the magazine we all sat down and discussed what kind of articles we could include and who would be covering each monthly issue. Once we had done this we got to work on creating a baseline for the magazine.
We looked at each others work after we had done this and made constructive criticism in order to make them look at good as we could.
Deciding on a time and date in which we could take photos for our magazines, we got volunteers and used places we knew in order to take the photos needed. Our next media lesson we put all the magazines together and made a slideshow on slideshare to show our work.

Preliminary Task

In the first 2 lessons of this course, we started by designing a front cover on the computer for a college magazine we made up. We used the same logo and same title, however we all used a different layout to see which worked best. After we designed them on the computer, we draft sketched them by hand then scanned them in onto the computer and put them into a powerpoint which is shown below:

Designing College Magazine

We each conjoured up ideas of what to call our college and design and then merged them together to make a final logo and masthead which we all agreed on.

Briefing

We decided to work as a group of 3 to use our individual skills and qualities in creating the magazines.

As Jamie studies Graphic Design, Frankie studies Photography and Michael has leadership and creative skills, we decided it would be a good idea to consider working in a group to fufill our potentional in making our magazines.

We discussed the ideas we wanted to include and came to a compromise on what we would use on our final idea.
